Sustainable Alternative to Environmentally Harmful Disposable Wipes

Wet wipes, makeup wipes, and any other type of disposable wipes are incredibly harmful to the environment. Even though they are very popular and the most convenient option, the damage from disposable wipes is not worth the reward. These wipes cause major sewage blockages, which lead to severe pollution in our oceans. Pollution can be especially damaging to our wildlife because of the plastic in this product. The issue is that these wipes are advertised to be flush-friendly; however, research has shown that many of them do not disintegrate as they are advertised to. So, what can we do to help? An easy way to help is to simply make sure to throw them in the trash rather than to flush them down the toilet. Doing so will prevent sewage blockages, and wildlife will stay safe. On the other hand, the ideal solution is to eliminate them. We all know they can be very efficient, but reusable cloths will always be the better solution. This is because they reduce the amount of waste in our environment drastically.
